Apple employee found dead on Infinite Loop campus

UPDATE: Police have confirmed the person found dead at Apple’s Infinite Loop campus in Cupertino, CA was an Apple employee. No other persons were involved and the cause of death has not yet been established.

The deceased, who is a man, is yet to be named. Apple is also yet to comment.

Police in California have launched an investigation after a body was found at Apple’s Cupertino headquarters on Wednesday.

NBC Bay Area confirmed the Santa Clara Sheriff’s department is on the scene after the body was reportedly found in a conference room on the Infinite Loop campus.

Little else is known but a TMZ report, citing audio from a police scanner, makes reference to “gunshots” and a “possible suicide.”

Those reports remain unconfirmed.
