Red HTC One M8 to be O2 exclusive
The red HTC One M8 is on its way and will be exclusive to O2 in the UK, the network provider has revealed.
For those keen on snapping up the Samsung Galaxy S5 and LG G3 rival but who are underwhelmed by the existing grey, silver and gold colour schemes, the red HTC One M8 will launch early next month.
Aside from its vibrant red hue, the newly toned M8 is no different from its predecessors, pairing a 5-inch, 1080p Full HD display with a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and 2GB of RAM.
Packing the Taiwanese manufacturer’s Due Camera and BoomSound stereo speakers, the red HTC One M8 also adds a 5-megapixel forward-facing camera and 16GB of internal storage which, unlike the original HTC One, is expandable via microSD card.
With the red HTC One M8 release date having been pencilled in for August 4, the brightly coloured device will be available on the same O2 Refresh tariffs as its existing counterparts.
Set to be available on a range of tariffs with data allowances ranging from 500MB to 8GB, the most traditional deal will see the handset paired with unlimited minutes and texts and 2GB of 4G data for £38 per month.
Although HTC has yet to announce plans for further M8 colours, leaks earlier in the year showed that a blue handset could also be on its way in the near future.
