RBS and NatWest banking apps arrive on Windows Phone

Windows Phone users will now be able to move their money on the go far easier thanks to Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and NatWest Mobile Banking apps arriving on the Windows Phone OS.

Enabling customers to check their balance and transaction history with ease, the RBS and NatWest mobile banking apps are available now from the Windows Phone store for Windows Phone handsets such as the Windows Phone 8X by HTC and Nokia Lumia 920.

Both apps allow customers to view their transaction history for the majority of accounts, and search within that history for specific payments in current and savings accounts. Customers can also transfer money between accounts simply and efficiently.

Making bill payments or transferring money to friends and family is as simple as entering the amount with the RBS and NatWest Mobile Banking apps, as long as you’ve already made a payment to that person or organisation via Online Banking previously. Customers can transfer money to other NatWest or RBS Mobile Banking users app too, armed with just their mobile number.

Using the new Windows Phone mobile banking apps, customers can access funds from their account from NatWest, RBS or Tesco cash machines without a debit card, useful if a card has been misplaced or stolen. The apps will also direct users to the nearest cash point or bank branch using the in-app “Near Me” map.

Of course, Windows Phone owners wanting to download the app must already bank digitally with NatWest or RBS, and have their digital banking customer number to hand along with their debit card and personal details.

The RBS and NatWest mobile banking apps are the first to appear on Windows Phone, with HSBC, Lloyds TSB, Halifax, Santander and other major banks already having their own dedicated mobile banking apps in the Apple iOS App Store and the Android OS Google Play store.
