Razer’s latest RGB-equipped creation is a laptop stand — seriously
Continuing its long and storied tradition of putting RGB lighting on just about anything, Razer has announced a new laptop stand, the Razer Chroma Laptop Stand, that comes complete with LED lighting that allows it to be illuminated with all the colours of the rainbow.
Does the world need this? Probably not, but then again does the world need drive through restaurants, cheese in a can, or those little castles you can get for fish tanks?
The answer is of course no, no, and no again, but that doesn’t change the fact that these inventions were made by dreamers, people who looked at the drab world we call home and decided not to take ‘no we don’t need any more RGB lighting’ for an answer.
The latest company to say ‘no’ is Razer, who have created what can only be described as the single most decadent piece of RGB-lighting equipped PC equipment we’ve ever seen.
The stand includes a USB hub and is powered by a USB port on your laptop
The stand is even chroma-compatible, which means it’ll flash in time with your gaming when you’re playing supported titles.
Although the majority of this aluminium-constructed stand is gloriously useless, there’s at least a 3-port USB hub in here as part of the bargain. It’s the perfect way to keep your RGB mouse, RGB mouse pad, and RGB keyboard ready to go at a moment’s notice.
The new stand will be available for $99 (around £75), and is launching soon.
