Quantum Break first look shown at Xbox One E3 event

The first look at Remedy’s exclusive title for the Xbox One, Quantum Break, has been shown at the Xbox One E3 event.

From the creator of Alan Wake comes Quantum Break, a unique experience for the Xbox One that combines a live action TV series and a player controlled game.

“Choices you make in the game make your personalised version of the TV show. The TV show gives you insight,” said Remedy Games, who describe Quantum Break as the “ultimate Remedy experience.”

Quantum Break follows the story of hero, Jack, who has survived a failed science experiment that has affected the flow of time, causing it to stutter and change.

Remedy Games and Microsoft Studios also previewed the first scene from Quantum Break that has ever been seen.

Panning through an explosion in slow motion, a woman, who we later find out is a doctor, is suspended in time.

Jack pulls the woman from the frozen explosion scene to safety, who is then pulled into the current time zone with Jack and another unknown character.

The two then discuss how the time affecting technology is being used by an unknown evil – of course.

We’ve still seen no footage as to how the real time TV series will interact with the actual game, but there may be more Quantum Break footage shown later on in E3 during the remainder of the week.

Quantum Break will be one of the 15 exclusive games coming to the Xbox One within a year of launch.
