PS4 Watch_Dogs bundle issues clarified by GAME

GAME has clarified an issues surrounding PS4 bundle pre-orders following the news Watch_Dogs won’t launch until 2014.

Ubisoft announced yesterday that the Watch_Dogs release date has been pushed back to sometime in spring 2014 for all formats, in order to give the developer more time to “polish and fine tune every detail”.

Seeing as Watch_Dogs was intended as a PS4 launch title, many of you may have pre-ordered your PS4 complete with the game.

GAME has now clarified any pre-order issues surrounding Sony’s next-generation console or just for the game itself.

“As many of you have heard Ubisoft’s Watch_Dogs has slipped into Spring 2014, to help make the game the best it can be for you!” reads GAME’s tweet. “We’d like to give you an update on what this means for your Watch_Dogs and PS4 bundle pre-orders with us.”

Anyone who pre-ordered the game separately will just receive the game when it comes out next year.

“Watch_Dogs software: Your pre-order will remain secure (both online and in-store) with us until day of release next year.”

When it comes to PS4 bundle pre-orders, GAME will offer alternative titles to arrive with the console come the November 29 PS4 release date in the UK.

“Watch_Dogs PS4 Console Bundle: Your PS4 remains secure for launch. We will be in touch with you all shortly to arrange an alternative.”

The game will also be available for Xbox 360 and PS3 when it launches in 2014, although Ubisoft intends it to “embody” what a next-generation game should be.

“Our ambition from the start with Watch_Dogs has been to deliver something that embodies what we wanted to see in the next-generation of gaming,” explained Ubisoft in a statement. “It is with this in mind that we’ve made the tough decision to delay the release until Spring 2014.”

The Xbox One will be released on November 22 followed shortly by the PS4 on November 29.
