PS4 Slim has already been torn apart in this new video

Sony is yet to officially announce the PS4 Slim, but that hasn’t stopped some crafty people from doing an extensive teardown of the new console.
Uploaded by Youtuber Links-tech (via Kotaku), the 20-minute teardown takes the PS4 Slim apart piece by piece, carefully poking around the components of Sony’s mysterious system.

One noteworthy thing to take away from this video is how easy the hard drive is to remove this time around, which should make upgrading your storage capacity a breeze.
It is also unconfirmed whether Sony aims to release to PS4 Slim in a selection of storage variants, much like the Xbox One S.

The PS4 Slim does a good job of fitting all of its powerful components into such a small shell, so hopefully this doesn’t lead to any overheating issues.

Despite its existence having yet to be acknowledged by Sony, a selection of journalists have already gotten their hands on the console, unboxed and reviewed it.
One such review by Laura Kate Dale of Let’s Play Video Games describes the console as a “smaller, thinner, quieter and cooler” version of the existing PS4. Sounds good to us.
Sony is expected to announce the PS4 Slim alongside PS4 Neo at the PlayStation Meeting on September 7.
