PS4 Remote Play app arrives on Google Play for Xperia Z3 devices
The PS4 Remote Play app has been released on the Google Play store with support for Xperia Z3 devices.
Sony has launched the official PS4 Remote Play app on the Google Play store, bringing the PS Vita feature to Sony Xperia devices including the Sony Xperia Z3, Sony Xperia Z3 Compact and Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact.
At the time of writing, it’s not clear whether compatibility for Remote Play will extend to the Sony Xperia Z2, Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet or other Xperia devices. There is a list of compatible devices listed in the Google Play store blurb, but it isn’t yet live.
The PS4 Remote Play app lets you stream your PS4 games to your mobile device’s screen using a DualShock 4 controller connected via Bluetooth.
You’ll also need to download PS4 update 2.0, which went live today and brings with it increased functionality for the PS4.
