Sony has responded to the launch of the Xbox One X by offering a PlayStation 4 Pro package priced at £449.99, the same as Microsoft’s new console.
Almost certainly a deliberate jab at Microsoft, the PS4 Pro bundle included Sony’s beefed up console and “five exclusive adventures”, which is a tad misleading as the bundle includes four games plus some DLC.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, GT Sport Limited Edition, WipEout Omega, and Horizon Zero Dawn with the Frozen Wilds DLC, make up the bundled games.
While the Xbox One X offers more raw power than the PS4 Pro, it’s rather lacking in major exclusives. And Sony appears to know that by releasing a console bundle that shows off its exclusive games.
A game like Horizon Zero Dawn, which really puts the PS4 Pro’s extra power to use, acts as a form of poster child for PlayStation, while the Xbox One X comes with no games bundled with its relatively high price tag.
Microsoft is looking to change this situation with Xbox big boss Phil Spencer outlining ambitions for Redmond to setup or buy studios with the goal of creating more Xbox One exclusives.
But at the time of writing the number of games that get dedicated Xbox One X enhancements is thin on the ground, meaning Sony’s effective trolling of Microsoft with its “five adventures” console package could prove an effective way to keep gamers’ attention on the PlayStation side of the so-called console wars.
