PS4 “PlayStation – Since 95” video plays on nostalgia
Sony has released a nostalgic “PlayStation – Since 95” video to highlight the console’s history ahead of the PS4 release date next month.
Pulling on the heart strings of loyal PlayStation owners in the near two-decade long history of the brand, the PlayStation – Since 95 video is certainly worth a watch.
The video taps into the nostalgia of older gamers out there, who will vividly remember the debut of the first PlayStation in 1995.
We certainly got excited hearing the old PSOne and PlayStation Two boot-up sounds that were often filling our living room and bedrooms back in the day.
Sony demonstrates how the PlayStation has evolved in the nearly 20-year-long period since the console was originally released.
There’s a game range from Tekken on the PSOne right up to Killzone: Shadow Fall on the PS4 showcased in the video, which will make you realise how gaming has changed for PlayStation in 18 years.
No doubt, Sony has released this PlayStation – Since 95 video in honour of the upcoming PS4 release date next month.
The video bears the slogan “PS4: This if for the Players”, with a hashtag #4ThePlayers, which is potentially a dig at the Xbox One, which tends to brand itself as the ultimate entertainment console.
The PS4 release date for the UK has been scheduled as November 29, meaning the Xbox One will be available a week before it on November 22.
Available as a stand-alone bundle for £349, the PS4 Killzone: Shadow Fall Mega Bundle was also recently announced. It comes complete with an additional DualShock 4 controller, PlayStation Camera, a copy of the Killzone game for £450.
