UPDATE: EA and Ubisoft have lowered the prices of their PS4 digital games to match those offered in the Xbox Live store for Xbox One.
Cross-platform digital titles like Need for Speed: Rivals and Battlefield 4 now cost the same for PS4 and Xbox One.
The PS4 prices have been lowered after gamer outcry they would be charged more for the same game on the Sony next-gen console than on Microsoft’s alternative.
However, Ubisoft and EA have reduced the prices of their PS4 digital games to £54.99, matching the Xbox One prices.
The prices listed on the PS4 PlayStation Store now are as follows:

Original Story: Sony has spoken out about the PS4 digital games prices, suggesting they will be lowered before the UK launch this Friday.
The prices of games offered on the PlayStation Store will be adjusted before the UK PS4 release date, according to an official Sony representative.
Third-party game publishers and Sony itself were criticised earlier this month when it was revealed PS4 digital games would cost more than their Xbox One counterparts.
For example, Battlefield 4, FIFA 14 and Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag are all more expensive for PS4. Originally, they were listed at £62.99 a piece on the UK PS4 PSN, but have since been lowered to £59.99. That’s still £5 dearer than the Xbox One editions.
“Although PS4 launches in Europe on the 29th November, we have switched on the European PSN early to test and make sure that features and functionality are fully operational for launch,” said a Sony representative.
Sony suggests that PS4 digital games prices will fall more in line with the Xbox One digital games offerings.
“You will continue to see some prices adjusted over the next few days in preparation for launch on Friday.”
The PS4 will be released on November 29 in the UK after it was released on November 15 in the US.
Earlier this week the full list of launch day apps for the PS4 was released. It revealed that Sony next-gen’s console will feature BBC iPlayer, BBC Sport and BBC News among others. All three of these are missing from the Xbox One.
Launch games for the PS4 includes exclusives like Killzone: Shadow Fall, Knack and Warframe.
