PowearIN is the world’s most tech-heavy jacket

If you thought this travel jacket was chock full of tech, check out PowearIN.

It’s a waterproof jacket that boasts over 40 functions! Where to start?

You can charge up to five devices at once using the built-in battery. Don’t worry, they won’t all hang off you either. The USB cables feed out of the end of the sleeve, so you can hold your phone or put it in your pocket while juicing it up.

A light-up name plate on the left breast tells everyone your name – and prevents any mix-ups in the cloakroom – while it also has a load transfer system that makes it easier to carry heavy items without putting unnecessary strain on your back. And it’s good news if it stays unseasonably warm like it is now – it also transforms into a messenger bag, so you can sling it over your shoulder and not overheat.

It has dedicated pockets for your travel pass, keys, wallet, sunglasses, eye mask, pen and MP3 player. And a special collar button lets you control the music on your phone and your mobile’s camera.

It also looks pretty stylish, in a lighthouse keeper kind of way.

It’s seeking $80,000 on Kickstarter, and has 36 days left to raise the remaining $75,000. You can pick one up for $249 (£162) on an early bird. If successful, it’ll ship in March.
