PlayStation VR comes with a free demo disc at launch

Sony has announced that PlayStation VR will launch with an impressive demo disc containing samples of 8 individual titles.
Writing on PlayStation Blog, Sony confirmed the demo disc will come packaged with every PlayStation VR unit when it launches on October 13.
“Okay – so you’re ready and excited to dive into the revolutionary experience of PlayStation VR when it hits shops on 13th October. But with so many breathtaking games out there, where do you start? We say: why limit yourself to one? The PlayStation VR demo disc will feature a massive eight titles for you to sample, so you can get the perfect introduction to your new Virtual Reality world.”
If you’re planning on picking up PlayStation VR later next month, you’ll be able to try out the following eight titles without spending a penny:
- Driveclub VR
- PlayStation VR Worlds
- RIGS Mechanized Combat League
- Tumble VR
- Battlezone
- EVE: Valkyrie
- Wayward Sky
- Headmaster

This is a surprisingly generous offering, and should give you a diverse range of experiences to see what the device is truly capable of.
Releasing a demo disc such as this also gives us the idea that Sony may release virtual reality demos on the PlayStation Store in the future.
PlayStation VR is set to launch on October 13, 2016, and could well be on display at Sony’s PlayStation Meeting later today.
