PS Plus’ May lineup includes something to get us excited for Detroit

The PlayStation Plus lineup for May has been confirmed, and includes a game from Detroit developer Quantic Dream to whet your appetite ahead of that game’s launch later this month.

Beyond: Two Souls is the headliner for this month, which is the PS4 relaunched version of the game. Rayman Legends is also available for PlayStation Plus subscribers on PS4, with Risen 3: Titan Lords and Eat Them available on PS3. King Oddball and Furmins on PlayStation Vita round out this month’s offerings.

Beyond: Two Souls initially launched on PS3 in 2013, before coming to PS4 two years later. Following Quantic Dream’s familiar narrative-driven formula, the game follows the life of Jodie (Ellen Page) as she shares a psychic connection with a mysterious being named ‘Aiden’.

We were massive fans of the game here at Trusted Reviews, as a snippet from our review shows:

“With great performances from Page and Dafoe and technology and artistry to match from Quantic Dream, Beyond: Two Souls is another big step for cinematic gaming. At times it might be a step too far, constraining the gaming elements so that the player doesn’t quite feel in control, but there’s more than enough compensation in the strong story, great characters and interesting situations. Beyond: Two Souls isn’t always a game you feel you have to play, but as an experience it’s practically unmissable.”

Rayman Legends is also a brilliant game. A 2D platformer from Ubisoft that launched back in 2013, it’s superb fun, especially in co-op.

The games will be available to download in early May to PlayStation Plus subscribers. Remember you must have an active PS Plus subscription in order to be able to download them, and they’ll remain on your account for the entirety of your subscription.
