PlayStation Now subscription service launched in US
PlayStation Now subscriptions will be available in the US later this month, Sony has confirmed.
Sony revealed that it will start offering a subscription service for its streaming service, PlayStation Now, from January 13 in the US and Canada.
The PS Now subscriptions will be first available on the PS4, followed by other PlayStation Now enabled devices.
The subscription service will offer unlimited access to the over 100 PS3 games that are currently available on PlayStation Now.
Gamers will be able to choose from two different subscription plans. They will be able to opt for the $19.99 per month option, or pay $44.99 for a three month rolling subscription, which equates to around $15 a month or a $4.99 saving.
You can try out the service with a seven-day free trial that offers access to all included games too.

“Users have been able to rent games through PlayStation Now for several months, and one of the top requests we get is for an overall subscription to the service,” explained Phil Rosenberg, Senior VP of Business Development and Publisher Relations at SCEA.
“We’re excited to formally announce it today, as the PlayStation Now subscription service will deliver a tonne of value by providing instant access to a large and diverse catalogue of games for one low price.”
To celebrate the subscription announcement, Sony is releasing a free PlayStation Now theme for PS4 owners to download later this month.
Anyone who downloads it before the end of January will be entered into a prize draw to win a one year PlayStation Now subscription.
PlayStation Now is coming to the UK in beta form later this year. Hopefully it won’t take too long for it to be offered on a subscription basis here too.
