Philips has announced the availability of its Hue White Ambiance smart bulbs, which enable users to control the temperature of white light, and the brightness too.
The Philips Hue White Ambiance bulbs will cost you £25.95 a pop and can offer shades of white light between 6,500K (kelvin), which simulates cool daylight, and a warm 2,000K.
Philips says this will enable users to feel energised during the day and more relaxed during the evening.
The company says this will work well with the new Routines feature built into the revamped Hue mobile app for iOS and Android.

“We know how important white light is in the home; it is similar to natural day light and can help us to focus, feel more alert as well as wind down at night” says Philips’ Sridhar Kumaraswamy.
“With Philips Hue White Ambiance, we are delivering a high-quality connected light bulb that delivers the full spectrum of white light at the swipe of a finger, allowing consumers to fully benefit from the impact that white light can have on their wellbeing when at home.”
If you’re new to Philips Hue lighting, the new White Ambiance bulbs can be purchased as part of a starter kit for £100.
Hue is also compatible with Apple’s HomeKit platform, Nest, Amazon Echo, Samsung SmartThings and a number of other smart home hubs.
