Philips DS3205 docking system launched with Apple Lightning connector

Philips has launched the Philips DS3205 docking speaker, one of the first of the Philips Room to Room docking speaker series compatible with the new Apple Lightning Connection.

Compatible with the iPhone 5 and the latest iterations of the iPod Nano (7th generation) and iPod Touch (5th generation), the Philips DS3205 offers stereo sound with the addition of the Dynamic Bass Boost functionality.

Philips DS3205 Features

The Philips DS3205 is one of the first docking speakers to feature the new Apple Lightning nine-pin connection, but also offers music lovers high-quality neodymium speakers that produce a better bass response and balanced sound quality than other speakers.

For enhanced bass quality the Philips DS3205 docking speaker features Dynamic Bass Boost functionality. This enables users to accentuate the bass of their music, cycling through a range of present volume setting at the touch of a button, even at low volume levels.

The integrated Lightning connector means the Philips DS3205 is compatible with the latest Apple technology including the iPhone 5 and newest generation iPod Nano. However, if users wish to connect other non-Lightning pin devices, the Philips DS3205 also offers a 3.5mm Audio-In port.

Running from a mains power supply, the Philips DS3205 also offers portability options with 8 hours of battery life via four AA batteries. The compact design also makes it suitable for even the cosiest of rooms.

Philips DS3205 Release Date and Price
The Phillips DS3205 can be bought now from John Lewis for £99.95.
