No Western release date was revealed, but with Atlus continuing to assert the game will arrive in 2016, it doesn’t leave much time for the game to make its way across from Japan before year’s end.

Atlus has decided to go toe-to-toe with this year’s other huge JRPG release – Final Fantasy XV – and launch two weeks ahead of its fierce rival.

The European release of Persona 5 was recently considered to be a concern after NIS America terminated its relationship with Atlus, with the former being the latter’s distributor of games in the West.

Are you excited for the launch of Persona 5? Do you think it’ll arrive in the West this year? Let us know in the comments.
