OnePlus 2 invite reservations: Three days, one million sign-ups

Nearly one million would-be customers have signed up to the OnePlus 2 invite reservation list.
That’s the registration page that puts you in the running for an invite to purchase the new OnePlus smartphone.
At the time of writing, exactly 978,642 people had entered the details for a chance to buy the budget flagship.
The invite sign-up page has been live for just three days now, so hitting one million wannabee owners is an impressive feat.
The phone is set to go on sale on August 11, although it’s not clear what sort of stock levels OnePlus has right now.
The company said that it was planning to have 30 to 50 times the amount of launch stock compared to the OnePlus One launch, but we don’t have exact figures just yet.

The OnePlus 2 was unveiled on July 27, landing as the company’s second-ever smartphone.
It’s got a formidable roster of specs in tow, including a 5.5-inch Full HD display, a Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, a USB-C port, and a fingerprint scanner.
What’s more, the entry-level model – that’s 16GB of storage – costs £239, despite having flagship-grade specs.
