The awesome Oculus Touch controllers will not ship until the second quarter of 2016, potentially months after the VR headset itself goes on sale.
The two motion sensing controllers first previewed easier this year, won’t ship with the Rift, which is expected to arrive in Q1 next year (via VentureBeat).
Each features 360-degrees motion tracking and inertial tracking, but they also feature traditional controls like an analogue thumb stick, two buttons, an analogue trigger and a hand trigger.
The controllers have haptic feedback, allowing you to feel what you’re touching, and they can recognise gestures.
The control system will power a brand new Rift game announced during the Oculus Connect 2 conference on Wednesday.
Epic Games’ Bullet Train is being developed using the Unreal 4 Engine and is a first-person sci-fi shooter. Epic describes the title as a “world-scale VR gunfight experience with gameplay that weaves in and out of bullet time.”
This means you’ll be ever to slow down time Neo-from-the-Matrix-style and avoid bullets that might be speeding towards you.
As shown in the demo video, you’ll also be able to grab them out of the air and throw them back at your foes.

The game represents Epic’s first stab at Virtual Reality and it looks like it’ll make Oculus Touch well worth the extra few month’s wait. Check out the gameplay video below.
