Nook Simple Touch eReader price slashed, now yours for £29

Barnes and Noble has slashed the price of its Nook Simple Touch eReader, making it available for just £29 as part of the ‘Get London Reading’ campaign.

Knocking £50 off its £79 RRP, Barnes and Noble are offering the Nook Simple Touch eReader at this bargain price for a limited time only in support of the aforementioned literary initiative and National Literacy Charity Beanstalk.

One thousand Nook Simple Touch devices are being donated to the charity, which recruits, trains and provides support for literacy volunteers in schools that promote engagement with literature, especially in areas with high levels of illiteracy.

“Literacy is at the heart of everything we do,” said Jim Hilt, Managing Director at Barnes & Noble. “We have a passion for everyone to experience digital reading affordably, anytime and anywhere. It was a perfect fit when we had the opportunity to partner on the ‘Get London Reading’ campaign. We hope to further enrich the minds of readers of all ages across the UK and give them affordable access to the books they love.”

Also offered at the £50 discounted price is the Nook Simple Touch GlowLight, now £69 and the Nook HD and Nook HD tablets which are now £129 and £179 respectively.
