Nokia Lumia 928 confirmed with optical image stabilised PureView camera
The Nokia Lumia 928 has been officially unveiled following weeks of leaks and rumours, with the Windows Phone 8 device playing host to an optical image stabilised PureView camera.
A Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One rival, the Nokia Lumia 928 is the Finnish manufacturer’s latest flagship Windows Phone device, with the Nokia Lumia 920 follow-on currently set to be a US exclusive offering. Bound for the Verizon network in the US, the Nokia Lumia 928 incorporates the network’s 4G LTE standards.

Running Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 OS, the Nokia Lumia 928 features list is headlined by the handset’s 8.7-megapixel PureView camera.
Playing host to a Carl Zeiss Tessar f/2.0 lens with 16:9 optics, the Nokia Lumia 928 camera adds a 1.4 sensor to the mix with optical image stabilisation and an integrated Xenon flash thrown in for good measure. With a second, 1.2-megapixel forward-facing camera also included, the handset’s boasts 1080p Full HD video recording capabilities.
Away from the handset’s imaging abilities, the Nokia Lumia 928 specs sheet is further enhanced by a 4.5-inch ClearBlack OLED display with a 1280 x 768p HD resolution and a 334 pixels-per-inch image density.
With a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor running the show, the Nokia Lumia 928 sees 1GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage make the cut. A 2000mAh Lithuium Polymer battery keeps things chugging along.
Nokia Lumia 928 Release Date and Price
Bound for US customers, the Nokia Lumia 928 release date has been set for next Thursday, May 16. On a two-year contract the Nokia Lumia 928 price will see wannabe owners needing to fork out $99.
