Nokia Lumia 830 image leak reveals design mash-up

A new image of the forthcoming Nokia Lumia 830 shows off the Windows Phone smartphone’s hybrid design.

We’ve already caught a glimpse of the Nokia Lumia 830 through previously leaked images, but this latest one offers the clearest view yet ahead of the smartphone’s expected launch tomorrow.

WPDang has provided this images, which reveal a lot more of the Nokia Lumia 830’s design. The phone seems to have the large, bulging PureView camera lens of the Nokia Lumia 1020 and the chunky, squared-off aluminium frame of the Nokia Lumia 930.

These snaps also reveal that the Nokia Lumia 830, like its predecessor the Nokia Lumia 820, will eschew a unibody chassis. In this case, though, there’ll be a peel-off rear cover rather than a phone-encompassing shell.

We also see what looks like a removable battery, a microSD slot, and support for wireless charging.

According to the report, that sticky-outy camera is a 10-megapixel PureView effort with a xenon flash and a microphone for high-fidelity recording. It’s also expected that the Nokia Lumia 830 will sport a 5-inch 720p display and a Snapdragon 400 CPU.

We should see the Nokia Lumia 830 launched alongside the Nokia Lumia 730 at a Microsoft-held More Lumia event on September 4. The Nokia Lumia 730 will apparently be most notable for its 5-megapixel front-facing camera, earning it the “selfie phone” tag.
