Showing a familiar site, the Nokia Lumia 1520 pictures point to the handset being an upscaled remake of many of the existing Lumia handsets, taking design hints from the likes of the Nokia Lumia 920 in sporting a vibrantly hued yellow polycarbonate body.
Although concrete Nokia Lumia 1520 specs have yet to emerge, it is widely believed that the phone will run a 6-inch 1080p Full HD. This added on screen real estate will let future Lumia 1520 owners to fill the device’s homescreen with a bevy of app shortcuts and live tiles.
With the leaked Nokia Lumia 1520 images showing that the handset will not sport the same impressive PureView snapper as the Nokia Lumia 1020, it is expected that the device will instead share camera optics with the metal clad Nokia Lumia 925.
Although yet to be confirmed, it is believed that the Nokia Lumia 1520 will be officially unveiled alongside the repeatedly leaked Nokia Lumia tablet at a dedicated New York based launch event to be held in either late September or early October.
Earlier this week it was announced that the mobile arm of Nokia has been sold to Microsoft, with the £4.6 billion deal to be completed in early 2014.
It’s a bold step into the future – a win-win for employees, shareholders and consumers of both companies,” Steve Ballmer, Microsoft’s outgoing CEO stated in an announcement confirming the buyout. He added: “Bringing these great teams together will accelerate Microsoft’s share and profits in phones, and strengthen the overall opportunities for both Microsoft and our partners across our entire family of devices and services.”
