Nokia Catwalk leaks as next flagship Windows Phone 8 offering

Nokia looks set to refresh its leading line of Windows Phone 8 handsets with the newly leaked Nokia Catwalk lining up as an aluminium bodied replacement for the Nokia Lumia 920.
Tipped to be Nokia’s next flagship Windows Phone 8 device as the former handset giant continues its bid to regain ground on the current big players of the smartphone scene, Samsung and Apple, the upcoming addition to the Nokia Lumia line has been said to sport the codename of the Nokia Catwalk.
Citing “sources familiar with Nokia’s plans”, latest reports have suggested that the Finnish handset manufacturer will turn its back on current polycarbonate crafted form factors in favour of a more high-end, aesthetically pleasing and hardwearing construction.
With the current Nokia Lumia 920 being widely criticised for its hefty 185g weight, the rumoured Nokia Catwalk would, thanks to its aluminium construction, line up considerably lighter than its varyingly hued predecessor and Nokia Lumia 900 follow-on.
The lead in a reported trio of Nokia Lumia branded handsets set to be formally unveiled and released later this year, although there is currently no word on precise Nokia Catwalk specs, recent rumours have suggested that the next-gen device will feature “similar internal hardware” to the current model, with changes focussing largely on the device’s visual appearance.
