Noki is a smart lock designed for European locks
We’ve seen a few smart locks, but so far they’ve failed to take off. Noki is designed for Europe, however, making it stand out from the mass of US-centric models.
It fits on locks with EU cylinders, and can be easily installed on top of your existing lock – you don’t have to remove or replace anything. It takes just a few minutes to get up and running. Then
Thanks to Bluetooth, it knows when you’re approaching your house and automatically unlocks, so you can walk straight in. It knows when you’re home, and keeps the door locked. Then when you head out, it’ll lock up for you. No more of those panicked, ‘did I lock the door?’ moments.
You’ll need a europrofile-cylinder with about 3mm overlap on the inside. If your door opens outwards, you’ll need at least 29mm between the centre of your cylinder and the doorframe. Plus a double cylinder with emergency button.
It works via an app for Android and iOS devices. You can grant access to friends and family through SMS or emails, but you can always rescind access whenever you want. You are the gatekeeper.

You can lock and unlock from anywhere using the app, and it’ll show the lock status at all times, so you don’t need to worry if anyone can get in.
It’s passed its funding goal on Kickstarter and still has 30 days to go.
