Nintendo gets first ever console Humble Bundle

The first every Humble Bundle console offer has landed, and it may surprise you to learn that it’s for the Nintendo Wii U and 3DS.

Humble Bundle has become extremely popular with PC gamers and Android mobile gamers alike, offering a handful of top games at a time for a knock-down choose-your-own price, and with charity support at the core of the offering.

Now that enticing package has landed on console for the first time. The Humble Nindie Bundle has been presented in conjunction with the Nintendo eShop, and it bundles together some excellent indie games across Nintendo’s two current platforms.

The bundle includes Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition, Stealth Inc 2, and The Fall for Wii U. For the 3DS you get Whoah Dave!, Mighty Switch Force, and Moon Chronicles Episode 1.

Those are the platform-exclusive titles, but you also get two games that work across both: SteamWorld Dig and OlliOlli. There are more games coming soon, apparently.

In time-honoured Humble Bundle style, you can pay what you want for these games. However, it’s only if you pay more than the average that you’ll get The Fall, OlliOlli, and Moon Chronicles. At the time of writing, the amount needed to get the lot is just $9.21 (around £6).

Meanwhile, you’ll have to pay $10 to get SteamWorld Dig and Stealth Inc 2.

If you’re wondering why we gave those figures in dollars, well, that’s the major downside here. The Humble Nindie Bundle is America-only (albeit the whole continent) at present.

Still, Humble Bundle has been going on PC in the UK for ages now, so we can probably expect this Nintendo partnership to expand before too long.
