Nintendo will announce a ‘new interactive experience’ for Switch later tonight
Nintendo has announced plans to reveal a “new interactive experience” for Nintendo Switch geared towards younger gamers.
Set to take place at 10PM GMT on January 17, the upcoming stream was announced on Nintendo’s official website earlier today.
‘Tune in to discover a new interactive experience for Nintendo Switch that’s specially crafted for kids and those who are kids at heart,’ the teaser reads.
It’s difficult to tell what this reveal might be, or if it will be a game at all. Considering the vague announcement, it could possibly be related to hardware or even a software application.

Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima recently told Japanese paper Mainichi (via Nintendo Everything) that ‘the second year is crucial’ when growing a console’s audience.
“Our task is to add more users, including people who barely touch game consoles.”
Knowing this, perhaps we’ll see a game, application or hardware addition designed to appeal to the mass market. Switch has already surpassed 10 million units sold, so Nintendo has lofty ambitions for its hybrid console.
