Nikon has officially unveiled the Nikon Coolpix S9500, with the high zoom compact camera playing host to a 22x optical zoom and 18.1-megapixel image sensor.
Able to switch between wide angle and ultra-telephoto near instantaneously, the Nikon Coolpix S9500 boasts an impressive 25-550mm focal range.
Nikon has also announced two additional models to its Nikon Coolpix range. The Nikon Coolpix S9400 is the slightly downgraded version of the Nikon Coolpix S9500. Still offering the 18.1-megapixel CMOS image sensor and 3-inch LCD screen, the Nikon Coolpix S9400 features an 18x optical zoom NIKKOR lens within its super slim body.
The Nikon Coolpix S5200 is the cheapest new addition, but its specs still pack a punch. A 16-megapixel CMOS image sensor, NIKKOR wide-angle 6x zoom lens, 460k dot resolution, 3-inch LED screen, full HD recording and Wi-Fi capabilities to boot make this entry-level camera still capable of turning heads.

Nikon Coolpix S9500 Features
The 18.1-megapixel Nikon Coolpix S9500 features a 22x optical zoom with ED glass capable of switching rapidly between wide angle and ultra-telephoto views.
Couple the impressive zoom with a wide 25-550mm focal range, the Nikon Coolpix S9500 will not fail to capture the intimate action of a football match playing out far below or a quick close-up shot of family and friends.
Capturing shots that are definitely worth sharing, users can utilise the Wi-Fi functionalities of the Nikon Coolpix S9500. After installing the Nikon wireless app on an Android or iOS device, new Nikon Coolpix owners can transfer their prized pics and videos to their smart device to upload to various social networks or share with friends and family.
The Nikon Coolpix has an in-built GPS system allowing users to not only geo-tag and track their photographs, but also the compass tells users what direction their camera is facing.
Also featuring a back-illuminated CMOS image sensor and 3-inch OLED screen, the Nikon Coolpix S9500 has advanced lens-shift vibration reduction for ultra-sharp images and video capture.
Nikon Coolpix S9500 Release Date and Price
Available in black, red, silver and brown colour options, the Nikon Coolpix S9500 release date is set for February 21. as for cost, the Nikon Coolpix S9500 price is going to set you back £299.99, which isn’t outrageous for the camera’s set of specs.
The Nikon Coolpix S9400 and Nikon Coolpix S5200 are also due to be released on February 21, priced £249.99 and £179.99 respectively. Both models will have several colour options to choose from.
