Nikon Coolpix S3500 announced with 20-megapixels
Nikon has announced the latest in its line of compact cameras, the Nikon Coolpix S3500, which packs a 20-megapixel image sensor and a full palette of colour options.
The successor to the acclaimed Nikon Coolpix S3300, the Nikon Coolpix S3500 boasts a 7x Nikkor wide-angle zoom lens, 720p video recording, and a 2.7-inch LCD screen.
“The Coolpix S3500 is made to capture the fun as it happens,” said James Loader, Nikon UK’s Product Manager for Coolpix. “Automatic focus, along with vibration reduction technology to minimise the effects of camera shake ensures crisp clear images, while the wide angle lens with optical zoom covers both group shots and close-up portraits with ease. The stylish, quality design and eye-catching colour variations mean you will want to take it with you everywhere you go.”
Nikon Coolpix S3500 Features
Within a slim 20.5mm body, the Nikon Coolpix S3500 features a 7x Nikkor wide-angle optical zoom lens with a 20-megapixel image sensor, making sure that users will get a high quality image whether they are snapping pictures of their friends on their gap-year trek or getting a close up of that world famous monument they’ve been waiting to see. In-built vibration reduction technology helps to minimise any effects of camera shake to produce clear, sharp images.
The dedicated video button on the rear of the Nikon Coolpix S3500 allows 720p HD video recording, with playback via a 2.7-inch LCD screen with brightness adjusters that make sure movies and photos can be viewed in bright sunlight or in low lighting conditions.
For the Instragram addicts out there, the Nikon Coolpix S3500 positively encourages creativity. Aside from the 18 automatically selected scene modes that adjust the camera settings for an optimal shot, the Nikon Coolpix S3500 offers a Smart Portrait System to perfectly capture the user’s nearest and dearest via in-built automatic detection technologies.
Options within the glamour retouch menu can help to improve even the most unflattering snaps on the spot. The Nikon Coolpix S3500 also provides creativity functions such as the Selective Colour mode that converts a picture to monochrome and lets the user add a touch of colour where they see fit.
Nikon Coolpix S3500 Release Date and Price
