Nexus 5X release date has now been confirmed

Waiting for a pre-ordered product is painstaking, but knowing the release date makes sitting on your thumb a little easier.
Fortunately, Google has confirmed the shipping data for its new Nexus 5X smartphone.
Until now, the Nexus 5X listing simply read “shipping in the coming weeks” – frustratingly ambiguous.
However, that message has – as spotted by TalkAndroid – now changed to “will ship October 22”, which is less than two weeks away.
It’s worth noting that this shipping date only applies to the black and white colour variants; mint is still not ready.
We should mention that you’re still able to pre-order the device.
That means anyone who wants to receive the $50 bonus Google Play Store credit and 90-day free Play Music membership for pre-ordering can still do so.

The Nexus 5X is available starting at £339, and comes in three colour options, as well as two storage variants – 16GB and 32GB.
Unfortunately, there’s still no word from Google on when its bigger brother, the Nexus 6P, will start shipping.
We’ll let you know once anything changes on that front.
