New Xbox One controller shown off in leaked images
Images of the new Xbox One controller have leaked online ahead of its launch next month.
A retailer has posted images of the purported Xbox One controller online, prior to Microsoft officially announcing the gamepad.
The leaked images follow news that emerged earlier this week that suggested Microsoft will launch a revamped version of the Xbox One controller at E3 2015.
Retailer Libro posted a listing for the special Covert Forces Xbox One Wireless controller, which features the 3.5mm headphone jack featured in the earlier leak.
However, the page has since been pulled, which suggests there is some weight to the leak.
According to the posting, we should expect the revamped controller to be released on June 8. That could be Microsoft might make an official announcement prior to E3.
Aside from a geometric black pattern and the 3.5mm jack, the Covert Forces controller doesn’t seem to feature any other changes.
We had hoped Microsoft would make the controller chargeable via USB straight out of the box, but it looks like this one also requires AA batteries.

The leak earlier this week came from none other than the official Xbox support site, which suggested Microsoft was on the cusp of releasing a controller with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The current Xbox One Wireless Controller has a proprietary port at the base, which means anyone looking to use multi-platform or existing gaming headsets needs to buy the separate Xbox One Stereo Headset adapter to make them compatible.
