Philips Hue now wants to replace every bulb inside (and outside) your house

Philips Hue’s brand new range of lighting solutions aim to prove there’s nowhere on your property – indoors or out – that can’t be augmented by some smart bulbs.
The company has unveiled a number of new lights, some of which we’ve seen before (like the bathroom mirror and outdoor lighting strip), while others are brand new to our eyes.
The previously unseen solutions (via The Verge) includes the Ascend collection. This range features a hanging Pendant lamp which would be perfect for rooms with high ceilings, a tall floor light, a table lamp and a lamp that can be attached to a wall. All of them feature a similar design, with a downward facing bulb and a conical housing.

There’s also an Enchant Pendant Light, which also hangs from a ceiling fitting and offers white and colour light with a more cylindrical design. For our money, the Ascend collection is the looker of the two.
Philips has also unveiled what it’s calling the The Being Pendant, which is also mounted from the ceiling. It can only output white hues and doesn’t offer a traditional bulb, but could easily be the centrepiece lighting solution in any room.

In the bathroom, the Adore Mirror light is also joined by a ceiling light fixture that Philips Hue says will helps you energize, concentrate, read and relax. It comes with a dimmer switch too, helping you to perfect the ambiance without reaching for your phone. Both bathroom products are only designed for white light.
Finally, there’s the outdoor LED lighting strip, which was revealed on Philips’ website in the Netherlands earlier this summer.
Some of the products are now live on the Philips Hue website in the United States, but they’re yet to appear on the UK site. Stateside they’ll be available on August 20. We’ll keep your posted on UK availability.
