There’s a new version of the OnePlus 5 – with a very special design

There’s now a limited edition version of the OnePlus 5 that’s been created in partnership with an acclaimed French fashion designer.
OnePlus recently announced that it would be collaborating with esteemed designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, but the details remained a mystery. Now, however, we know that OnePlus is launching a new and exclusive line of “Callection” products co-created with Castelbajac – including a bespoke OnePlus 5 model.
To launch the new products, OnePlus will be hosting two pop-up events. One will take place in Paris, France on September 22, with the other scheduled for September 29 in London, England.

Speaking about the new product, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei said: “We’re always looking to try new things with partners who embody the Never Settle spirit. It’s been great collaborating with an icon like Jean-Charles Castelbajac, who is continuously bringing game-changing ideas to the fashion industry.”
The new items will be available for purchase at both pop-up events, as well as online via the OnePlus website.
The Castelbajac-inspired OnePlus 5 will be offered as a premium hardware variant, featuring 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a dual camera. What’s more, it’s being sold for the same price as the normal top-end OnePlus 5 – that’s a bargainous £499 in the UK.
The OnePlus 5 was launched back on June 20, 2017, and is a flagship-tier device that’s intended to significantly undercut rivals like the Samsung Galaxy S8 (£689), the iPhone 8 (£699), and the iPhone X (£999).
It features a large 5.5-inch Full HD display, a powerful Snapdragon 835 processor built by Qualcomm, and a dual-lens camera that’s been widely acclaimed by phone reviewers.
