New Nexus phone pre-orders set for October 13

Both LG’s and Huawei’s forthcoming Nexus phones – the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P – will be made available for pre-order on October 13, according to a new report.
Google is expected to unveil its new flagship phones at a September 29 event, but pre-orders for those phones might not open until a fortnight later.
That’s the claim being made by TalkAndroid‘s sources. There’s no news on a shipping date for these new Nexus phones, but Google’s tendency is to ship its phones only up to three weeks on from the initial announcement.
Google is expected to take a new course with this year’s Nexus phones. It seems there will be two new Nexus phones from two different manufacturers, LG and Huawei.
Huawei is reported to be producing a successor to the Nexus 6 in the form of a 5.7-inch phablet, while LG will produce a 5.2-inch follow-up to 2013’s warmly regarded Nexus 5.
Speaking of which, the more compact new Nexus has been cropping up in photos just recently.

Beside the new Nexus 5’s curvaceous design and 5.2-inch display, it’s expected to feature a USB-C port and dual front-facing speakers. It could also be powered by a Snapdragon 808 CPU with 3 GB of RAM.
The larger Nexus could feature a 5.76-inch QHD screen and a metal body, as well as a fingerprint sensor and a USB-C port. Both phones will run on the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
