New Nexus 5 leaks again

Google’s new Nexus 5X has leaked again, offering us the best glimpse at the upcoming smartphone yet.
We’ve seen and heard plenty about the much rumoured new Nexus 5 – a long-awaited follow-up to 2013’s Nexus 5. Last year we got the Nexus 6, a highly capable but rather huge phablet that had none of its predecessor’s compact charm.
Now we appear to have been granted a good, clear look at the new Nexus 5 from the rear, courtesy of AndroidPit. The website stresses that this is the real thing, and not a press render.
As you can see, the shot tallies with the leaked images we’ve already seen for the phone. This new Nexus features the exact same round, matte plastic design with that curious rear-mounted circular motif. We’re guessing that last feature is a fingerprint sensor.
There’s also a dual-LED flash and laser auto-focus module visible just above the camera.
Other things to expect from the second-generation Nexus 5 is a 5.2-inch display, a USB-C port and dual front-facing speakers. It could also be powered by a Snapdragon 808 CPU with 3 GB of RAM.

Naturally, Google will showcase its latest OS with this new hardware – in this case Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Expect to see Google announcing its new Nexus 5 at a special September 29 event.
