New iPad UK Pricing – Three Reveals Its Deals

Want a new iPad this Friday? Mobile network Three has released full details on how much you’ll have to pay to get hold of one.

Three offers two main types of new iPad offer. You can get one with a small initial outlay on a 24-month mobile internet contract, or pay a lot more outright and go for a one-month rolling contract with much less commitment involved.

On the 2-year contract end, prices start at £99. For this, you get a 16GB 3G iPad and a two-year, £29 a month contract that offers 15GB of data a month. Alternatively, you can pay an extra £60 at the start and pay £25 a month. These two contract deals are also available for the 32GB and 64GB editions, with initial costs of £169/229 and £249/299. That means you’ll pay up to £945 for an iPad, over the two years.

If this all sounds a bit too rich, “New iPads” with rolling data contracts can be bought for £479, £549 and £629 for the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB versions respectively. The monthly cost dips down in these deals too – £15 per month for 10GB and £7.50 a month for 1GB. However, working this out, it’s actually more expensive over a two-year period to keep a 64GB new iPad juiced-up with data – £989 all-in.

Worrying total expenditure aside, Three offers some of the most generous data plans you’ll find for a 3G iPad. With 15GB of data to play with rather than the 2GB O2’s current iPad deals supply, you won’t have to keep such a keen eye on your iPad’s mobile data switch.
