New iPad UK Pre-order Now Live

Special report: iPad 3 / New iPad : What You Need To Know
Hands on: iPad 3 Review

The UK Apple Store is back in action, and the pre-order for the new iPad is now live. Want one on release day? This is the most pain-free method.

The new iPad range starts at £399 for the 16GB Wi-Fi only model, ramping up to £479 for the 32GB edition and £559 for the 64GB model. Want to spend even more? The 3G/4G versions are available for a hundred pounds extra – £499, £579 and £659 respectively.

All six iPad versions are current showing as available for delivery on 16 March – which is about as early as you’re going to get one unless you hang out with Tim Cook 24/7.

The new iPad was launched last night, UK time, following an event in San Francisco. The new model’s highlights include a screen with more than three million pixels, a quad-core GPU and that good ole iPad design. There were no great surprises, but we’re confident the new iPad will sell millions. If it hasn’t already.

We’ve already written plenty of content on the new iPad, so be sure to check it out.
