New GTA 5 pictures and songs revealed

Ahead of the upcoming spring 2013 GTA 5 release date, a new GTA 5 picture has been unveiled as rapper Chief Keef reveals one of his songs is to appear within the game.

Showing off the vast scale of the GTA 5 setting, Los Santos, the virtual city, which has been based around Los Angeles, acts as a backdrop to the latest GTA 5 image which sees one of the game’s trio of lead characters evading police by climbing the Vinewood sign, the game’s equivalent of the real-world Hollywood counterpart.

Appearing in the Hungarian PC gaming magazine PC Guru, the newly unveiled GTA 5 picture features alongside a teasing caption that hints at the scale of the in-game world stating: “Like Los Angeles, Los Santos is a huge city.”

Despite the latest GTA 5 screen shot featuring exclusively in a predominantly PC orientated gaming mag, there is no confirmation that the GTA 5 release date will see publisher Rockstar make the eagerly awaited title available on anything other than the confirmed Xbox 360 and PS3 platforms at launch.

With a petition in place to try get a GTA 5 PC release date to line up alongside the core console options, Rockstar last month revealed that further platform releases we still ‘under consideration’ as it looked to assess the most viable, and profitable options.

Speaking on the availability of the upcoming GTA 5 release, Rockstar Vice President Dan Houser recently suggested that both GTA 5 PC and GTA 5 Wii U offerings have not been ruled out. He said: “We are a third-party publisher. We’re not Nintendo, we’re not Sony, we’re not Microsoft. We love all of them in different ways. But we can do what we want wherever there’s the appropriate business opportunity and chance to find a market.”

As well as a new GTA 5 picture doing the rounds, today also saw one of the first songs of the GTA 5 soundtrack seemingly confirmed with musician Chief Keef taking to social networking site Twitter to confirm the inclusion of his hit track, Love Sosa.

“Love Sosa Is Goin To Be On GTA5” the rapper announced via the sub 140 character social outlet.
