New Destiny screenshots tease plot details

Bungie has released some fresh Destiny screenshots, revealing a few details about the game’s characters, environments and weapons.

The eight new Destiny screenshots  explore some of the game’s characters, showing them in various game locations and the weapons available to use in the co-operative online shooter.

From the screenshots we can see some definite similarities to Halo and Borderlands, with some strong references to the Mass Effect series.

The images were published on the PlayStation Tumblr page, with no accompanying information.

Gameplay images show the characters battling with alien enemies, whilst another reveals three of the game’s fully customisable characters with unique armour and weapons.

We were particularly pleased at the sight of the characteristic Bungie jumps present in Destiny too, bringing back some great Halo memories.

Bungie announced Destiny in February 2013 and later revealed a Destiny UK release date of September 9 2014.

The Destiny Beta will be available for PS3 and PS4 gamers first, just to highlight that Destiny is the first Bungie game to be released on a Sony console.

PS4 and PS3 gamers will also get access to timed exclusive Destiny content before the Xbox versions.

Let us know what you glean from the new Destiny screenshots in the comments below.
