Simpsons, Futurama creator Matt Groening plotting animated series with Netflix

Netflix lives and dies by its roster of content, so reports of talks with an animation legend are no surprise.
Matt Groening is reportedly working on a new animated series to air exclusively on Netflix.
The cartoonist, famous for his work on the Simpsons and Futurama, is alleged to be in talks with the streaming giant in a new report by Variety.
According to the article,
Groening has experienced somewhat of a dry spell since the 2013 finale of Futurama, although the Simpsons – which Groening now executive produces – is still going strong with 27 seasons aired to date.
The details of the mooted new production aren’t yet clear; there have been no leaks regarding plot, cast, and target demographic.
While Netflix has a bevy of animated content on offer, original cartoon programming is still in short supply.
That said, animated series BoJack Horseman has been well received by critics, and is due to return this year for its third season.
