Netatmo unveils smart security camera Presence
Netatmo has launched a new smart outdoor securty camera able to detect and report about people, cars and animals.
The Full HD camera analyses in real-time if someone loiters around the home, a car enters the driveway or an animal is outside.
Once any activity is recognised, Presence notifies the user if something has been detected by sending them smart notifications.
These range from ‘person seen’ to ‘car seen’, or ‘animal seen’.
Fred Potter, Founder and CEO of Netatmo said: “Presence goes way beyond existing outdoor security solutions on the market.

“As the only consumer outdoor security system using a sophisticated deep learning technology, Smart-Sight, Presence is able to analyse and report precisely what is happening outside the home.”
The camera will work at night thanks to its infra-red night vision and also features a smart floodlight.
When the light is turned on, the camera can capture full colour videos.

There’s also a pretty nifty Smart Zones function where users can select specific zones within the camera’s view for motion detection alerts.
Presence will store a timeline of events using the internal micro SD card and can transfer the data to a smartphone using end-to-end encryption.
The device will be available from Q3 2016 and is compatible with both iOS and Android.
