The Need for Speed PC release date has been delayed until Spring 2016, developer Ghost Games has confirmed.
Although the PS4 and Xbox One versions are unaffected, Ghost Games has revealed the PC version of the Need for Speed reboot has been pushed back.
The PC version won’t launch until Spring 2016, but the Xbox One and PS4 editions will launch on November 5 as planned.
This delay is down to Ghost Games wishing to unlock the game’s framerate and improve the visuals on PC. Basically make the PC version of Need for Speed that a PC audience will expect from Ghost Games.
“Our PC community [said] that an unlocked frame rate in Need for Speed is a massive priority for you, and we fully agree,” explained Ghost Games in a blog post. “To deliver this, we’ve made the decision to move the PC release date to Spring 2016.”
“This decision on PC gives us the necessary development time to increase the visuals that we can deliver on PC. We will also include content updates that will have been released on console up to that time, making them available to all PC players from day one.”

The new Need for Speed is a complete reboot of the series that blends full-motion video sequences and gameplay to make what we think is one of the most stunning racers yet.
It’s focused on underground street racing and impressing legends of the scene with your trick videos and gaining fame through various races and events.
Rather controversially, the new Need for Speed requires an internet connection to play, but hopefully it will be worth it.
