Mysterious new OnePlus smartphone leaks

Details of another new OnePlus smartphone have emerged – and we’re not talking about the OnePlus Mini either.

It’s know that OnePlus has a smaller, cheaper alternative to the OnePlus 2 in the works, but a fresh info leak suggests there’s a third device set for launch this year.

Recent filings at the Federal Communications Commission (via Phonescoop), America’s telecommunications regulatory body, reveal as much.

Model E1005 from OnePlus will be another 5.5-inch smartphone, like the OnePlus One and OnePlus 2. The blurry picture included in the documentation shows a device with a flat metal rim, rather like the iPhone 4.

The camera is also positioned in the corner like one of Apple’s handsets rather than in the middle, like the rest of the OnePlus range to date.

The filing also mentions that the mystery OnePlus phone will come with a 1.9GHz processor, and that it will support all the usual wireless connectivity standards (LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi, and FM radios).

OnePlus has planned a media event in India for October 12 which is today. We shouldn’t have long to wait to find out more about the OnePlus E1005.

The company will also be selling the OnePlus 2 normally, without invites, for one hour from 11:00 UK time.
