Moto G4 and G4 Plus are going for an Indian on May 17 debut

The long-awaited Motorola G4 and G4 Plus counterpart are likely to be unveiled on May 17.

Motorola has send out out invites to the Indian media for a launch event in New Delhi, which will take place three weeks before the rumoured June 9 launch.

The affordable Moto G release is always one of the most important in the mobile calendar, but this year an enhanced device may steal the show.

Recent leaks have shown off a purported G4 Plus device with a larger display and a fingerprint sensor built into the home button.

Speculation suggests the standard 4th gen Moto G will be updated with an onto-core processor, while toting a 5.5-inch 1080p display.

As always with this range, the price will be key. Motorola has done a decent job keeping the budget device affordable, while including higher-end specs.

The Moto G4 and G4 Plus are likely to be the first handsets launched under the new ‘Moto by Lenovo’ branding.

The Chinese manufacturer revealed plans to drop the 87-year-old Motorola branding late last year.
