If you fancy going all Tim Peak on us and feeling like you’re walking in zero gravity, but don’t want to spend years training to be an astronaut, these shoes are for you.
They’re called MoonWalker, and no, they’re nothing to do with Michael Jackson. Rather, they aim to simulate the sensation of walking on the moon.
The sole is made from memory foam and hugs your foot, giving you a perfect fit. But that’s not all. The shoes also feature an e-ink display on the side of the sole, which can show your Facebook updates, LinkedIn profile, Google+ and Instagram feed. You can control this with your smartphone, which should hopefully help you stop anyone posting rude words on the side of your shoes.

Of course the proof is in the pudding, and until we try a pair for ourselves, we can’t comment on the quality of the experience. But it’s certainly a novel idea.
It’s passed its $20,000 funding goal and still has 28 days to go. You can pick up a pair for just $99 (£67), to ship in September.
