Modern Warfare Remastered adds microtransactions in latest update
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered now allows players to purchase supply drops with real world money.
Added in the December update, Supply Drops are microtransactions that grant access to new cosmetic items.
All items featured in supply drops can also be unlocked through in-game challenges and by using Call of Duty points and Depot Credits.
These items will have no impact on the gameplay of Modern Warfare Remastered, but remain an unexpected addition nonetheless.

Activision has also added Parts to Modern Warfare Remastered. Parts can be used to craft all items found in supply drops to save you grinding for a random skin.
Microtransactions aren’t the only thing coming to Modern Warfare Remastered this week. The December update will see the addition of six new maps and two new modes.
Modern Warfare Remastered now includes all 16 maps found in the original release, complete with modes introduced in later games such as Gun Game and Kill Confirmed. Female character models have been added, too.
