Mighty lets you listen to Spotify on the go without using your phone

Mighty is a wearable device that can play Spotify without requiring your phone.
Why would you want to do that?
Here’s how it works. You open the mobile app and pair Mighty to your phone. Sync your playlists using the Spotify interface. Then leave your phone at home or in your pocket while you rock out to tunes doing whatever you like.
The controls are simple, and similar to those on an iPod Shuffle. The big difference is the one in the top right, which changes the playlist to which you’re listening. This gets around the problem of not having a screen.
It is possible to control it using your phone, although this defeats the point somewhat.
There are a few downsides. You need Spotify Premium to use it. There’s no speaker, so you can’t share your tunes with friends without adding an external speaker. It has only 2GB of storage too, so you can’t put all your playlists on it – the makers claim it holds 48 hours of music, which should be plenty. But its battery life is only five hours.

On the plus side it clips to your clothes, making it a perfect running companion.
Mighty has raised more than $6,000 of a $250,000 goal and has 29 days to go. Pledge $70 (£50) and it can be yours on an early bird. If successful, it will ship in November.
