Microsoft teases new Dell XPS 15 with Infinity Display

Microsoft has teased a handful of upcoming Windows 10 products, including a new 15in version of its superb Dell XPS 13in with Infinity Display.

Shown off during the company’s keynote speech at Computex 2015, the Dell XPS 15 with Infinity Display appears to have the same ultra-thin bezel as the 13in laptop and will thus allow Dell to actually make the laptop smaller than its 15in screen would suggest.

The Dell XPS 13 has a 13in screen but is only the size of a normal 12in laptop, inferring the 15in XPS will in have a typical 14in chassis.

That’s quite a saving that along with what looks like an equally thin design could make for a noticeably lighter, more portable laptop.

We currently don’t have any further information on what features the laptop will have but if it’s anything like the Dell XPS 13in, it’s sure to be one of the finest 15in laptops around.

Also shown – see below – was an HP X2 2-in-1 that uses a magnetic keyboard dock type of design as well as an unnamed HP tablet that appears to have an Intel RealSense camera on the back, just like the Dell Venue 8 7000.

The newly announced Windows 10 release date is 29th July 2015, with users of Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 already able to sign up for a free upgrade that will come directly over Windows Update.
