Update: A Surface Mouse has been confirmed. Update below.
The FCC’s website has just leaked an image of a new Microsoft Surface mouse, confirming earlier rumours about the new peripheral.
The images below (from Windows Central) show the new mouse. Its shape and design looks a lot like the current black Microsoft Designer mouse already on the market. Supposedly though, it’s having some of it’s tech tweaked and will receive a gray coat, as shown below.
Allegedly, the new mouse features the same Bluetooth Low Energy compatibility as the keyboards leaked earlier and will use AAA batteries.

Last week, rumours of a new Surface keyboard from Microsoft started to appear, thanks to a listing on the Bluetooth SIG website.
The device, said to be branded as a Surface product, was listed as a wireless ‘ergonomic’ keyboard peripheral, powered by Bluetooth LE 4.2.
And now, it seems, we’ve had confirmation that Microsoft is working on such a device, thanks to images filed by the firm with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

The filing was spotted by Windows Central, which has also reported that Microsoft is working on two separate versions of the desktop keyboards – one with a more streamlined design and one with the ergonomic Bluetooth elements mentioned in last week’s listing.
A close-up image (below), separate from the FCC filing and obtained by the site, appears to show the former and what looks like the edge of a newly rumoured Surface mouse.
Both the basic and higher-end keyboard are also said to come in a grey colour option. However, it’s early days yet, so Microsoft could announce further colour options in the future.

Of course, the company itself is yet to confirm the existence of any of these peripherals, so take the ‘leaks’ with a pinch of salt.
But Microsoft is expected to unveil a new Surface All-In-One PC at the end of this month, so we’re hoping to get confirmation of the peripherals at the same time.
